Last Game @ Yankee Stadium

Here are a few quick videos of my last trip to Yankee Stadium. I saw my first Major League game when I was 5 or 6 at the old EXHIBITION STADIUM in Toronto and I remember the place being a DUMP! So when I went to my first game at Yankee Stadium a few years later (plus the fact that I am a Yankee Fan) I was AMAZED! I’m not going to get into that old “Walking through the tunnel” thing like Billy Crystal in City Slickers but t’s true!

Since that first trip to the Stadium I have been to (in no order) The Jake in Cleveland, Skydome in Toronto, Dodger Field in L.A. and Shea Stadium in New York. None of them Compare!

Sure The Jake and Skydome are newer, nicer, roomier and more comfortable, but they never hosted a game that BABE RUTH PLAYED!

There was an AWESOME little segment on ESPN before the HR Derby a few weeks ago that only barely TOUCHED the history of the STADIUM. It was a brief segment of some of the BIGGEST HRs in that Stadium. Watching some of those HRs and remembering the ones I saw live gave me chills. But there are still TONS of moments that had nothing to do with HRs that make that place special!

I could go on about the Stadium forever but I’ll just get to my video.

I don’t have the time or the tools to make this as nice as I want so I’m going to give in and just play them how they are. Please excuse the shakey camera and some of the quick cut-offs.

This first vid is of us walking to the subway to get to the game. If u look closely u can notice the THANKSGIVING DAY PARDE logo still painted on the Stree. I must have walked that street 100 times last week and only JUST noticed it now on the vid.

Video 2 is that famous walk through the tunnel and on the field I avoided getting into. I’ll just let the video say it for me.

There will be more from that game later. I also have stuff from other parts of the trip.
